Profile

Although English by birth, Lisa was lucky enough to grow up in countries such as Oman, and Hong Kong, and had the joy of visiting her dad in Dubai and Bahrain, as well as having lived in Scotland, Thailand, Austria, and now Australia; these experiences all continue to influence her imagination and her illustration.

Heavily influenced by classical illustration from her own childhood (think Quentin Blake, Janet Ahlberg, and Helen Oxenbury), Lisa’s love of watercolour and pen, with likeable characters, is a key trait; while there is diversity in subject matter there is also a clear consistency in style, and, although she is trained in fine art, illustration is her main love.

Currently working on two children’s picture books for authors in the UK and America, Lisa loves collaborating with art directors, creative directors, publishers, and authors; the team effort that goes in to creating a picture book is truly magical.

If anyone needs her, Lisa can be found happily drawing – and writing – at her desk in a house by the sea, with her wonderful husband and two beautiful children. If you have any enquiries, feel free to click the ‘contact’ button.
